In accordance with Board Rule 4734-11-01, the Board may grant the following considerations to military personnel:
1. Extension of CE Reporting Period for Chiropractic and Acupuncture CE
A licensee may request an extension of the current renewal reporting period if he or she has served on active duty inside or outside the U.S. in excess of 31* days during the CE earning period (April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2018) in the armed forces of the U.S., the Ohio National Guard, the Ohio Military Reserve, the Ohio Naval Militia, the National Guard of any other state, or a reserve component of the armed forces of the U.S.
In order to request an extension, the licensee must submit proper documentation certifying the active duty service and the length of that active duty service. Upon receipt of the request and proper documentation, the Board will extend the current reporting period by an amount equal to the total number of months the licensee spent on active duty during the current reporting period.
*Any portion of a month served on active duty will be considered one full month.
2. Chiropractic and Acupuncture Continuing Education
Upon request, the Board will consider relevant education, training, or service completed as a member of the armed forces of the U.S. or reserve components, the Ohio National Guard, the Ohio Military Reserve, the Ohio Naval Militia, or the National Guard of any other state in determining whether a licensee has fulfilled the CE required to renew a license or certificate.
